PROGRESS SO FAR
From 2020 to 2021, trade between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Egypt and Jordan, resulted in an increase:
- $1.15 Billion with the UAE (up 511%)
- $6.5 Million with Bahrain (up from 0)
- $41.6 Million with Morocco (up 84%)
- $246.1 Million with Egypt (up 43%)
- $455.8 Million with Jordan (up 83%)
Under the Accords, deals were signed to support cross-border collaboration by bringing, for the first time, Ambassadors, Ministers, Presidents and Prime Ministers to cross-border meetings.
These resulted in agreements that moved the needle on:
- Banking & taxes cooperation
- Water & gas resources
- Import & export
- Research & development
- Innovation, technology, big data
- Manufacturing
- Aviation – passenger and cargo
- Clean energy goals
- Medical research and public health
- Education and job opportunities
- Student and academic staff exchanges
- Culture, youth and sports
- Youth delegations, cultural events, interfaith dialogues
- Kidney exchange
- Music, arts, language
- Leadership workshops
